When there is a folding marker in addition to a change marker in the left gutter, then it is much too difficult to click on the change marker. Maybe the change marker can be wider? Else/additionally provide some visual feedback, for example adding a "plus/minus" symbol to the mouse pointer when the mouse is over the folding decoration and a "diff" icon when the mouse is over the change marker.
