Sometimes I invoke Find (Ctrl+F) and by the time it appears the characters I wrote pasted characters are inserted into the editor. A quick solution might be to ignore key presses / paste actions until the Find UI is on the screen and the focus is on it. Of cource then, you should improve the performance to reduce the time between I press Ctrl+F and the focus is where it should. Related: IDEA-17112
