Support feedback: I would add it as a setting, probably based on file type would be the most flexible. Our automatic checkers always flag java files that don't have an empty line at the end. Even a few spaces on the last line cause an error for our checkers. I also notice that when I copy a file that had EOF correctly, the copied version drops the EOF. Most other systems (IDEs) have this option as well as simpler editors. It would be a great and easy addition to IntelliJ.
