Irina Petrovskaya - 02 Sep 08 14:50 0) do you invoke CreatePatch from the Local tab of Changes view (local changes not yet committed) or from the Repository tab (history of committed changes)? 1) do you accept default patch path/name, or change it? 2) do you get the 'Successfully created patch <patch file path>' message, or some different ones? 3) do you get any exceptions/errors in .log file? 4) in the file system really no files are created, or the empty one etc? (note that if the patch is created within the project content root, it is not visible from IDEA at once, until you synchronise the file system changes) 5) does this occur for any change, or only for some specific ones? thanks in advance for your answers!

Brydie McCoy - 03 Sep 08 03:36 0) Local tab 1) tried both neither worked. 2) no errors at all, for example - its just like i pressed the cancel button in the "patch name" dialog. 3) where do i find the .log file?? 4) no files are created 5) ... I tried again this morning to create the patches on some different files and it seems that it is working now. Let me know where to find the logs, and i will check to see if there is anything weird in there. If i can't find anhything, I am happy to close this as just a stupid IDEA moment (which i seem to be having a lot of lately)...
