In what kind of files are you performing a search/replace operation? How many occurrences does it modify?

Hi,

text files - .sql to be exact - I have the SQL script editor plugin installed... hmm and disabling it gets rid of the problem...

I guess that closes this issue as its a 3rd party plugin.
